On my first meeting with Julie + Josh I knew that their easy going yet hard working personalities would mesh perfectly with mine. We are all from Belchertown, and when we met we talked a lot about home, and just how awesome it is. The open space, the people, the feel, and really just everything. I relish in any opportunity to photograph at home, so when they said they wanted to do their Spark Session at a sugar shack, I couldn’t wait! I have only had the chance to shoot at one once, so needless to say, I was excited!

As a natural light photographer I find myself most in my element later in the day, in natural spaces. When I stepped onto the property I couldn’t believe where they’d brought me. There were open fields with trails, an old barn with beautifully weathered wood, a tire swing, and an antique fire truck. Josh is a Belchertown firefighter, and Julie is a nurse, so its only fitting that we not only photograph them on the truck but that we wrap up their golden hour session at the Belchertown Fire Station. We ended up with a collection filled with such laughter and joy, and wonderful memories made!
